Have you ever concentrated on getting the perfect "what ever?" For me most of the time it is all about capturing the "perfect picture." Tonight I was playing around with some editing techniques. I was looking for some pictures to "chop up" for a montage. I came across these. I am so ashamed to say that I totally "missed this moment." One weekend I dragged my poor little suspect out for our usual battle. "Smile for Mommy, sit still, don't wiggle, sit up strait," I pleaded. It was all the usual begging and torment that normally takes place when I take his picture. When I looked through these images tonight I was taken back. There is only one time in his life that he will have that one tooth missing, where his hair is longer with that cute little cow lick. And I am sure when he is 13 and rolling his eyes at me he will not hold rolly pollies any more. He is having such a great time. Adorable!!!

Smith Family
I have had the great privilege of knowing this family for some time now. These girls are growing up right before my eyes. The first time I took their pictures they were younger than Zach is now. Wow! They are beautiful young ladies. My heart will ache when the oldest pulls up in my driveway for a session. And that is not to far off in the future.

Nubel Family
OH MY GOODNESS....I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful and dear friend. But it is an even bigger blessing to get to capture these moments in her family's life. I love, love, love to photograph them. This little boy is one of my favorite subjects. (and my Mom's too) I never want to put my camera down when I have the opportunity to photograph him or his mom and dad. It has been a little more than two years since we first met. This little man is growing up fast. He continues to capture my heart with the camera. What a blessing!
